Happy new year and welcome to our brand new site!
If you're one of our regular panel members, you'll want to take a quick glance over this blog post. Things have moved around a bit, and this will serve as a guide to the areas of the site most frequented by our members.
If you're new to American Consumer Opinion®, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with what we have to offer. Oh! And welcome! We're glad to have you.
There are a couple of new features that we're very excited about. Quick polls will be available on your member page, which will serve to bring you real-time data for important (and sometimes just plain fun) questions of the day.
And coming soon, we'll have Sweepstakes options for cash outs under our 1000-Point threshold. Prizes such as gift cards, Kindles, and subscription boxes will be up for sweeps in the near future. Keep your eyes peeled for those.
Of course, by now you've seen this...
Your login is now front and center on the home page. Try it on your cell phone. That's right! We're now mobile-friendly. And when you refer your friends to sign up, they can do so on this front page as well as on their mobile devices.
Let's take a look at the new My Account page:
At the top and center of the webpage, you'll see any available surveys you may have. Simply click on the Take Survey link on the right-hand side to launch the survey.
Below the available surveys, you'll see the surveys that you've recently completed. Scroll down just a bit, and you can take a look at your Cash Out History.
On the left side of your screen is where you'll find your total Points, Cash Out button (if you have enough Points to cash out), and the new Quick Polls interface (when polls are available.)
Simply click on one of the polls to participate. You'll be able to see the results after you add your opinion.
Let's look at the User Tools section, which is directly under Quick Polls:
Change Password, Change Email Address, Update Contact Information, and Delete Account are pretty self-explanatory. At some point you may need to update your registration information. For example, if your annual income changes, you can make this adjustment by clicking on Update Registration Questions.
Update Your Profile Study: This allows you to make changes to the information you submitted with your first survey. Information that can be updated in the profile study includes marital status, housing information, education, employment status, occupation, and family members who live in your home.
